This document seeks to explain the version numbering scheme used by IPCOS website, and to provide a roadmap that outlines future developments of IPCOS website.
IPCOS website versioning follows a numerical convention comprised of three numbers (n1.n2.n3).
An increment of the major version number generally indicates two things: (1) A major change of the back-end core codes, and/or (2) A major rework of the site design.
An increment of the minor version number usually indicates a significant change to site functionality or architecture, and/or an upgrade in the backend codes.
An increment of the maintenance version number usually indicates bug fixing and small enhancement to already existing functionalities.
